The ninth edition of Winter Lights, organised by the Canary Wharf Group, concludes tonight after a twelve-night run in East London’s finacial district.
The free festival, which I first visited last year, features twelve installations this year, from artists and studios across the world. A guided walking route takes you past all of the installations, starting at Westferry Circus.

These are the twelve Winter Lights pieces this year:
- Aj Vana Be by Benedikt Tolar (Czechia)
- Circa by Limbic Cinema (UK)
- Error by Vendel & de Wolf (Netherlands)
- Wave by Squidsoup (UK)
- Evanescent Droplets by Atelier Sisu (Australia/Peru)
- Stitching Light by Emergency Exit Arts with Ruhul Abdin & Oitij-jo (UK/Bangladesh)
- Artificial Humans by Atelier Haute Cuisine (Belgium)
- Mirage by Atelier Sisu (Australia/Peru)
- Bird Passing By by Luminariste (France)
- PORTAL by Lucid Creates (UK)
- Positive Spin by Liz Harry & Kazimier Productions (UK)
- Illusion Hole by UxU Studio (Taiwan)
My favourites were Wave (4), Error (3) and Bird Passing By (9).
